To allow you to experience more of the country by both air and ground, we will be organizing a private plane transfer for one leg of the journey. This may either be from Panama City into Sansara upon arrival, or on the outbound return journey depending on final logistics and scheduling.
Regardless of the route, you will be fully taken care of and in the trusted hands of our l0ng-time transportation partners, Pineapple Shuttle – which, ironically enough, is actually Eddie’s transportation company, who is also one of our retreat hosts.
We suggest all guests arrive in Panama City (PTY) on Sunday, December 27th. This gives you one day/night to explore the historic district of Panama (Casco Viejo). On Monday, December 28th between 8:30-9:00am the included transportation will pick you up from one of the recommended hotels in Casco Viejo, see below, to proceed to the included private domestic air transfer.
Please note: on the return, we suggest also enjoying an extra night in Panama City. If you need to fly out, please book a flight no earlier than 6:00pm on Sunday January 3rd. The included transportation on the return, from Sansara to Panama City’s drop off takes place at the same recommended hotels. Airport transportation is not included.

Eddie and Maya Davis are two of the dearest longtime friends of the Sansara community, and we truly couldn't imagine two more beautiful people to host this year's New Year's Retreat. This marks their second time leading this special experience with us - a reflection of the deep connection they share with both Sansara and the guests who return here year after year.
With decades of combined teaching experience, Eddie and Maya bring a rare balance of wisdom, warmth, playfulness, and authenticity to everything they offer. Eddie, who is Panamanian, carries a deeply grounded presence shaped by his strong personal meditation practice and years of guiding others through mindfulness, self-inquiriy, and connection. His calm energy, humor, and heart make people instantly feel at ease.
Originally from Holland, Maya is a dynamic and deeply loved yoga teacher known for her soulful yin classes, energizing vinyasa flows, and signature "spicy detox" sessions that leave guests feeling both challenged and renewed. Her ability to create experiences that are both empowering and approachable has made her a favorite within the Sansara community for many years.
Eddie and Maya are excited to bring their teachings from Panama City to the surf coast of Cambutal and the special energy of Sansara. Rooted in movement, mindfulness, nature, family, and meaningful human connection, they create experiences that feel both inspiring and deeply welcoming.
We are beyond excited to welcome them back to Sansara to help guide us into another beautiful year ahead.
