Our Family Yoga, Surf & Adventure Retreat is a week for stepping away from packed schedules, daily responsibilities and ever-present screens. It is an opportunity to take one collective exhale, reconnect with yourself and truly see your family at their happiest, freest and most alive.
There will be yoga, movement, surf and adventure. There will be nourishing food, salty hair, sandy feet and afternoons that seem to last forever. But most importantly, there will be time - unhurried, meaningful time together.
At the heart of the week in our wonderful host, Staci - an incredible woman, mother and natural guide for children and families.
Working with children and creating thoughtful programming is part of Staci's everyday life. She has a rare ability to meet children exactly where they are, helping them feel comfortable, included and free to express themselves.
Her presence brings warmth, ease and intention to the retreat. She understands that a meaningful family experience needs a balance of shared connection, individual exploration and plenty of room for play.
Two afternoons of the week, Staci will lead a thoughtfully created kids’ camp where children can explore independently while parents enjoy time to rest, move, or reconnect.
Through art, creative expression, games, simple cooking experiences and activities inspired by Panamanian culture, the children are invited to learn, make, play and form friendships of their own.
One guided children’s surf lesson is also included in the retreat. With warm Pacific water and Sansara’s experienced surf team, children will be introduced to the ocean in a safe, encouraging and playful way.
Additional surf lessons for children or adults may be booked separately.
Throughout the week, we will create simple family rituals that invite everyone to slow down and reconnect.
Some evenings, devices will be put away and games brought out. Families will gather over long dinners, share stories from the day, swim beneath the evening sky and enjoy the kind of conversations that are often lost in the rush of everyday life.

The retreat’s children’s programming and included experiences are designed for children ages six and older.
We understand that some families may wish to bring younger siblings. Children under six are warmly welcomed at Sansara, however the Children’s Package and its dedicated programming are not designed for this age group. Accommodation and meal arrangements for younger children will be quoted separately.

Wonderful. Additional adults may stay with your family where the cabaña’s capacity allows, or reserve a separate private cabaña.
Single occupancy packages in an Essential Cabaña begin at $4,799. This price includes the adult’s package only.
If a child will be sharing the cabaña, the child’s package of $1,650 will be added separately.
Ocean Suites and Private Pool Suites may also be reserved for single occupancy, subject to availability and an additional upgrade cost. If your family requires multiple rooms, includes a grandparent or another family member, or is travelling with three or more children, we’ll happily create a personalized rooming proposal for you.

When booking your flight for this retreat, you will be flying into Panama City International Airport (PTY).
We recommend you to spend at least one night in Panama City both on the incoming and outbound components of your trip; Saturday July 17th, and again on the return component Saturday July 24th.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off Information
If you have chosen to use the complimentary shuttle service from Panama City to Sansara, pick-ups will begin at 8:30am sharp on Sunday July 18th. Pick up is ONLY available from the hotels we have recommended above. If you are a resident living in Panama City, or you are not able to stay at one of our recommended hotels but want to use the transportation, please take a taxi and meet at The American Trade Hotel by 8:15am. We recommend to our guests that you enjoy a nice breakfast prior to starting your journey, and that you pack a few extra snacks and water for the ride. It is a long travel day, and we want to ensure that it is an enjoyable one.
