Resort Policies, Terms & Conditions

By placing a deposit on your reservation with Sansara Surf & Yoga Resort, you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by the following policies, terms, and conditions.

Booking

After receipt of the applicable deposit amount you will be issued a written confirmation of your booking. Please check your confirmation carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to Sansara immediately. You agree to provide full, complete and accurate information to Sansara.

Payment Policy and Pricing

Retreat Bookings

All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable, and required to confirm booking. However, if Sansara is able to fill your space, you would then be given a credit valued at 50% of the deposit, valid for up to one year from the original retreat start date.
Final Balances are due 45 days prior to the retreat start date. Cancellations made for Sansara Signature Retreats within 45 days of the retreat start date are subject to the full price of the retreat package. If Sansara is able to fill your space, you would then be given a credit valued at the retreat package price, less the deposit, valid for up to one year from the retreat start date.
Retreats are priced and advertised inclusive of applicable taxes.
Sansara Surf & Yoga Resort may, from time to time, offer reduced pricing or promotions on retreat packages at their discretion, with reduced pricing or promotions applicable only to new bookings. Any confirmed retreat bookings with deposit and/or full payment received by Sansara are not entitled to reduced pricing.
Sansara guarantees that all retreat packages booked and secured with a valid deposit will be held as indicated on the applicable confirmation. In the case of Force Majeure (country closures, natural disasters, etc.), this guarantee is not applicable and no refunds will be provided. Sansara in it's sole discretion, will allow the amount paid to be transferred as credit towards a future retreat to be valid up to one year.
Pertinent to Retreat Organizers: In the event there are further travel restrictions as a result of the Covid-19 virus, Sansara will allow the retreat organizer to move their dates without penalty. No refunds will be issued. Sansara cannot be responsible for any additional costs the retreat organizer incurs to accommodate the change. Sansara reserves the right to determine the timeframe within which new dates may be reserved based on development of travel restrictions. Sansara cannot be responsible for individual participant refunds or additional costs incurred as a result of the date change.

General Hotel Bookings

Guarantee policy: Upon booking, a deposit equaling the amount of 50% of your total stay is due in order to confirm your reservation. The remaining 50% will be charged to your card 30 days prior to your arrival.
Cancellation policy: Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking will receive a full refund, after which time no refunds will be given. Cancellations made up to 30 days prior to your arrival, will result in a loss of your deposit. Cancellations made within 29 days of your arrival date will be given a credit valued at 50% of your reservation, valid for up to one year from the reservation date. Cancellations made within 15 days before your arrival, or no-shows, will be charged room and tax for the entire stay booked. Departing early will be regarded as a last-minute cancellation, and the guest will be charged room and tax for the entire stay booked. Due to the intimate nature of Sansara and our remote location, cancellations affect us significantly. We strictly adhere to our cancellation policy and recommend guests purchase travel insurance to protect themselves.
Change policy: The Guest can change the dates of stay (not number of days) without a fee only if the new dates are available and are no more than three(3) months from the original arrival date. However, Guest must agree to a price per day increase if the new dates fall within a higher price tier at prevailing rates. Only one reservation date change will be allowed. Any date changes must be made more than 30 days before arrival. No changes will be allowed within 30 days from arrival.
Sansara Surf & Yoga Resort may, from time to time, offer reduced pricing or promotions on general night stays, with reduced pricing or promotions applying only to new bookings. Any confirmed bookings with deposit and/or full payment received by Sansara are not entitled to reduced pricing.
Sansara guarantees that all reservations booked and secured with a valid deposit will be held as indicated on the applicable confirmation. In the case of Force Majeure (country closures, natural disasters, etc.), this guarantee is not applicable and no refunds will be provided. Sansara in it's sole discretion, may allow a portion of payments to be transferred as credit towards a future stay to be valid up to one year.

Holiday Bookings (December 15 - January 5)

Guarantee policy: Upon booking, a deposit equaling the amount of 50% of your total stay is due in order to confirm your reservation. The remaining 50% will be charged to your card 45 days prior to your arrival.
Cancellation policy: Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking will receive a full refund, after which time no refunds will be given. Cancellations made up to 45 days prior to your arrival, will result in a loss of your deposit. Cancellations made within 44 days of your arrival date will be given a credit valued at 50% of your reservation, valid for up to one year from the reservation date. Cancellations made within 30 days before your arrival, or no-shows, will be charged room and tax for the entire stay booked. Departing early will be regarded as a last-minute cancellation, and the guest will be charged room and tax for the entire stay booked. Spa, Surf, and Activity Bookings

Cancellation policy: For all our available services and activities we manage a 24 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice of the booked time, or no-shows, will be charged 100% of the service or activity booked.

Damages

Damages incurred to resort property as a result of occupant or guest of occupant will result in fees that will be billed directly to the resort occupant. Fees may vary depending on the amount necessary to replace the damaged property.

Smoking

Sansara Surf & Yoga Resort is a non-smoking property, and thus smoking is prohibited within the cabanas and the grounds of Sansara. Smoking on the property will result in a fee of USD250.00 - billed directly to the resort occupant.

Terms & Conditions

All rates listed on the website do not include taxes and/or additional service charges.
For payment options - we accept VISA, Mastercard, national Clave cards, wire transfer, and/or cash payments.
All rates are to be settled in USD.
Package inclusions are subject to change without prior notice at Sansara's discretion.
Sansara may ask any participant or guest to forfeit their stay or place at the resort at any time if the individual's behaviour is interrupting the retreat or other resort guests' stay.
You must be 18 years of age and over to attend a retreat or book a general night stay at Sansara. Each adult on a booking with a minor or minors is jointly and severely responsible for the behaviour, wellbeing, supervision and monitoring of such minor(s), and jointly and severely accepts this Policies for and on behalf of any minor(s) on their booking, including all assumptions of risk and limitations of liability. Sansara does not provide care services for minors and expressly disclaims any responsibility for chaperoning or supervising any minor(s).
Any special requirements of a guest must be disclosed to Sansara at the time of booking. Sansara will sue reasonable efforts to accommodate special requirements or requests, but this is not always possible. Certain areas of the resort may be inaccessible to you if your mobility is limited in any way. All food allergies and dietary restrictions must be disclosed to Sansara at the time of booking. Sansara will not be liable for any failure to accommodate or fulfil any special requirements.
Sansara recommends that any guest or retreat participant have travel insurance with a minimum medical, evacuation and repatriation coverage of US$200,000.00 covering all applicable dates staying at Sansara Surf & Yoga Resort. This insurance should provide coverage for personal injury and emergency medical expenses. You acknowledge that insurance coverage is not included in the cost of your reservation at Sansara.

Accident Waiver and Release of Liability

Assumption of Risk, Release and Indemnity
The use of the facilities at Sansara Surf and Yoga Resort naturally involves the risk of injury, whether the undersigned or someone else causes it. As such, the undersigned agrees that he or she understands and voluntarily accepts the risk and agrees that Sansara Surf and Yoga Resort and any of their affiliated entitles or an instructor, therapist, guide, driver or employee (hereinafter collectively “Sansara Resort”) will not be liable for any injury, including and without limitation, personal, bodily, or mental injury, economic loss or any damage to the undersigned, the undersigned’s spouse, the undersigned’s children, guest or relative (hereinafter, collectively “Guest”) resulting from the negligence of Sansara Resort or anyone else using the facilities. If there is any claim by anyone based on any injury, loss, or damaged described herein, which involves GUEST, the undersigned agrees to (A) – defend Sansara Resort against such claims and pay Sansara Resort for all expenses relating to the claim including, but not limited to, any and all attorney’s fees, and (B) –Indemnity Sansara Resort for all obligations resulting from such claims.

Waiver of Liability
The GUEST agrees to release from all liability, discharge and promise not to take legal action against (i) Sansara Resort, (ii) any other guest, visitor, or person present using the facilities or equipment of Sansara Resort; (iii) any designers, manufacturers or installers of the facilities or equipment of Sansara Resort ; and/or (iv) the connection with any activities sponsored by Sansara Resort whether or not such activities take place outside of any premises owned or operated by Sansara Resort. This agreement releases Sansara Resort from any liability to GUEST, their heirs, next of kin, assigns or personal representatives for any losses or damages or claims or demand arising out of GUESTS personal injuries, damage to property or GUESTS death, even if Sansara Resort’s individual or collective negligence contributes to such personal injury, damage or death. The undersigned herby waives any and all claims or actions that may arise against Sansara Resort, its owners, managers, instructors, or employees or volunteers as a result of any such injury to any such person. Such risks include, but are not limited to:

Injuries resulting from the negligence of the owners, managers, instructors, employees, or volunteer assistants of Sansara Resort or the negligence of guests, visitors or persons who may be present at Sansara Resort.
Injuries or death resulting from the failure or negligent misuse, by me or by others, of the facilities or equipment or Sansara Resort
Injuries caused from slips, trips, falls, or other such accidents that occur while using the facilities or which may be caused by other persons’ use of the facilities or equipment of Sansara Resort
Injuries resulting from participating in and/or using equipment in connection with the activities sponsored by Sansara Resort which may take place outside of any premises owned or operated by Sansara Resort
Injuries that occur from the negligence or lack of adequate training of those instructors, guides, therapists, volunteers, drivers, or employees of Sansara Resort who seek to assist with medical or other help with before or after injuries have occurred.

The GUEST freely and voluntarily assumes complete personal responsibility for these risks and for the injuries that might occur as a result of these risks, even if such injuries occur in a manner that is not foreseeable at that time this agreement is signed.

The aforementioned policies, terms and conditions of booking at Sansara can change at any time without notice.
