As a former schoolteacher and professor of education, as well as an avid yoga practitioner, teaching yoga is the marrying of two passions for Mila. She has over a decade of experience leading classes, workshops, retreats and teacher trainings. Mila considers herself a lifelong learner and continually looks towards deepening her own knowledge and practice of yoga.
Mila is the founder of Metta Yoga in Atlanta, is a legacy lululemon ambassador and previously served as the yoga editor of Natural Awakenings Atlanta magazine.
She provides a safe space for students to not only meet themselves where they are, as they are, but also to seek deeper connections to their bodies, minds, and breath. She guides her students through mindful movements, incorporating her love of music and providing meaningful messages through themed classes. She teaches a variety of formats including Vinyasa Flow, Power, Yin, Restorative, Gentle, Ashtanga Remix, and Aerial Yoga. Additionally she leads meditation and mindfulness workshops in both studio and corporate settings.
Mila believes that yoga is not something you do; it is a part of who you are, and that a quiet mind, an open heart, and deep breaths serves us beautifully, both on and off the mat.
