Monica’s passion in life is to teach. She holds an M.A. in Elementary education and spent more

than 15 years teaching elementary students, facilitating professional development workshops, and mentoring teachers and administrators in various school districts around the country. She began her yoga practice nearly 25 years ago as a means to calm stress during the daily rigors as a graduate student, which in turn led her to crave a deeper understanding of how the human body works.

Her love of yoga and movement as a desire for continued education led her to Kerala, India where she completed in an advanced training in the Tantric lineage. As an experienced teacher, with 2000+ hours of continuing education in human movement, and as a life-long student she commits to traveling across country to train exclusively with master teachers in the industries of yoga, biomechanics, functional movement, pain science and physiotherapy.

Monica is a movement educator, Reiki practitioner and Certified Yoga Tune Up® Instructor and continues to study directly with the creator of YTU®, Jill Miller. One of Monica’s top priorities is to teach students how to move effectively and intelligently, which varies from body to body. Without question, Monica has a passion for the human body and understands the human form on a considerably deeper level. Her intention is to awaken the importance of body awareness, optimal postural alignment, and functional movement patterns with every student she meets.

Monica is dedicated to leading teacher trainings, hosting international yoga retreats and facilitating movement workshops and her overall objective is educating clients about their bodies.
