Sansara came to life out of a deep drive to create a sense of home for others, where all are welcome and encouraged to be curious and explore the depth of a fulfilling and empowered life. Janel is not only the co-owner and operator at Sansara but our primary yoga teacher at Sansara. She is known for her lighthearted but highly specific approach to the yoga practice and believes in the power of the practice. Encouraging students that every time one steps onto the yoga mat there is an opportunity for growth and greater understanding of the self, both physically and spiritually. When she's not on her mat, you can find her spending time with her beloved husband or running the beach with their 2 kids.
Lean is 36 years old and grew up on the west coast of Vancouver Island, Canada where she started surfing at the age of six. She was National Women's Canadian Champion four times, represented Canada six times in the International Women's Surfing Games, was the El Sitio Triple Crown Champion and won the Clean Water Classics three times.
