Join world renowned yoga teachers MC YOGI and Amanda Giacomini, aka 10,000 Buddhas, for a special Thanksgiving week yoga retreat at Sansara Surf & Yoga Resort, here in Cambutal, Panama. This will be their third annual retreat with us, and we are so excited to welcome the two of them and their inspirational stories and energies to our sacred space.
MC YOGI will lead daily morning vinyasa classes, with his signature style class filled with great music, fun flows, and uplifting energy. In the afternoon, Amanda will nourish your body and spirit with deep yin yoga and wisdom from mythic tales from the yoga and Buddhist traditions. This couple has been teaching together for 20 years, and their joy of the practice will leave you feeling inspired. In between classes you can lounge poolside, take out a stand up paddle board to the beach, or enjoy the world class surf school at Sansara. This year forget about the dishes and the stress of the holidays and do something to totally recharge your batteries.
We believe the thing that sets every great yoga teacher apart is his or her authenticity and presence, and his or her ability to hold genuine space for students of all levels, backgrounds, shapes and sizes. MC Yogi is humble enough to be himself while he is teaching and you genuinely enjoy being in his company and your own. MC Yogi skillfully blends his poetic way of speaking, from years of writing music, with dynamic and articulate verbal cueing. He mixes “dad-joke” humor with a profound knowledge of yogic philosophy and history. His firm background in Ashtanga yoga is clear, yet his sequencing is more creative and flowing which shows me a teacher who is also a student in his own body and practice. He offers appropriate adjustments and modifications to fit everyone in class. Nothing is commanding, yet you feel encouraged to push to your edge while having fun, dancing and snapping to the beat of his (of course!) awesome playlists. With all that he offers, it never feels like too much or forced. It blends into a practice that helps me drop into my flow.

Nicolas Giacomini, known most commonly as MC YOGI has an inspiring life story worth sharing, from living in a group home for at-risk youth to becoming a renowned yoga teacher and musical innovator, MC YOGI is on a mission to bring good music and good energy into the world. Having grown up immersed in hip hop culture before finding yoga in his teens, he naturally began to integrate the two, setting yogic wisdom to hip hop beats. The result was a compelling new sound and a series of successful albums. His first three records were all #1 on iTunes World music and his latest, Ritual Mystical, was #1 on Electronic Music. He has since toured the world many times over headlining at every major yoga festival. In 2017 HarperOne published his memoir, Spiritual Graffiti which won a silver Nautilus award for best memoir. When MC YOGI is not on tour, he lives with his wife Amanda and teaches at their studio, Point Reyes Yoga, in Northern California. For more about MC YOGI visit mcyogi.com
