Sansara came to life out of a deep drive to create a sense of home for others, where all are welcome and encouraged to be curious and explore the depth of a fulfilling and empowered life. Janel is not only the co-owner and operator at Sansara but our primary yoga teacher. She is known for her lighthearted but highly specific approach to the yoga practice and believes in the power of the practice. Encouraging students that every time one steps onto the yoga mat there is an opportunity for growth and greater understanding of the self, both physically and spiritually. When shes not on her mat, you can find her spending time with her beloved husband or running the beach with their 2 kids.
Leah is 36 years old and grew up on the west coast of Vancouver Island, Canada where she started surfing at age six Her love of the sport led her to spend 10+ years traveling as a professional surfer and competing in many national and international competitions around the world. Pamela is a Colombian-Panamanian nature lover. She has made her life a constant exploration of its elements through work and play. She first became a cook, working in some amazing farm to table restaurants around Panama (including Sansara!) Eventually starting her own business, Kalma, with her two best friends, where she cooks for the retreats, guides cacao ceremonies and teaches healthy cooking classes.
Surfing has been a priority for her for a few years now, moving to the beach and planning her life as much as possible around the swell and tides. She feels at home when cruising on a longboard but loves exploring different types of boards from small single fins, to mid-lengths, to fish, depending on the ocean! Pamela believes surfing is as much an exploration of our inner world as it is the outer world. She is beyond excited to share her love fro our planet and all its gifts with you. At Sansara she will be guiding surf lessons and offering Cacao Ceremonies.
