Cultivating daily rituals has many benefits to our mental, social and emotional health. They can help us feel grounded, safe and balanced. There are many different rituals you could apply to your day, but one of our favourites here at Sansara is sitting down in a quiet space and setting our intentions over a hot cup of detox tea. This ritual isn’t just wonderful for the mind and soul, it also nourishes our beautiful bodies.
With an epic mixture of health boosting ingredients, this tea is the ultimate way to give your body some well-deserved love.
Apple cider vinegar has an array of awesome benefits including indigestion prevention, energy boosting properties and it even has the ability to help kill nasty pathogens. The other super, duper healer in the detox tea is cayenne pepper, this spicy little number is very impressive in terms of health benefits. Cayenne pepper is well known for its ability to stimulate circulation and eliminate acidity, making it incredible for detox support. It has many more magical powers including; migraine relief, cold and flu prevention and it even supports weight loss!
Set aside 10-20 minutes of your morning and ensure you have a quiet, clean space to sit. Once your tea is ready sit down with a pen and journal to set your intentions for the day or week ahead. In between writing your intentions take a sip of tea. With every sip be extremely responsive and aware of the taste, smell and feelings you experience. Sit in peace as the intentions motivate you and the tea soothes you.
You will need:
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- ½ a Lemon or 3 drops of pure lemon essential oil (we use doTERRA)
- 1 tsp honey
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
- Sprinkle of cayenne pepper
Places all ingredients into a large cup or mug, boil water and pour water into mug. Stir well and leave to steep for 3-4 minutes.
